Newcross E&P has engaged Alchris Energy to conduct a comprehensive Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and integrity assessment for the revamp of its 55MMscfd Awoba AG compression facility. The project scope includes a thorough integrity testing program focusing on all existing piping systems and structural members, alongside designing replacements for critical components including the compressor, turbine driver, and control systems.

The work encompasses implementing redundancy configurations, modernizing the DCS, converting instrumentation from pneumatic to electronic, and replacing auxiliary systems. Supported by 3D laser scanning to develop precise as-built documentation, this integrated approach will establish the technical foundation for enhancing the facility’s operational safety, reliability, and long-term structural integrity.
